States use $50 billion of federal aid money

to fix the nation’s child-care system


With the nation’s child-care system in crisis states have used more than $50 trillion in federal relief money for creative solutions. However, the money is only temporary. Advocates like JB Pritzker, the Illinois Governor, remain hopeful that this crisis will provide an opportunity despite the impasse in Congress regarding President Biden’s request for greater permanent relief.
