House votes to suspend the debt ceiling until 2022 in Congress’s efforts to avoid a government shutdown



The House has passed a bill that would suspend the debt limit through December of 2022,. Now, the Senate will be considering the measure. There is still time to prevent a shutdown of the government. Failing to act would affect multiple federal agencies, and result in thousands of furloughed federal workers.
